Here's an interesting connection. The first few number in the Fibonacci Series are: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, and 1597. 1597 is the year that the first opera "Daphne" was concidered to be written by Jacopo Peri.
